<p>The Stray Birds have been in motion since the 2012 release of their critically acclaimed self-titled album. Three years, hundreds of gigs, and thousands of highway miles later, the genre-melding acoustic trio continues to present its Yep Roc Records debut, Best Medicine.  Known for their songwriting, instrumental virtuosity and gorgeous three-part harmony singing, their most cohesive and ambitious album to date, Best Medicine, debuted on the Billboard Bluegrass album chart at #2.   </p><p>The band – multi-instrumentalists and vocalists Maya de Vitry, Oliver Craven, and Charlie Muench – hails from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. All three are classically-trained musicians who’ve been making music of all kinds since childhood, however they were also all raised with a steady diet of music ranging from pioneers like The Carter Family and Bill Monroe &amp; His Blue Grass Boys to the joyous invention of The Beatles and The Band, to the groundbreaking artistry of Jimi Hendrix.</p><p>The Stray Birds have recently completed recording their third full length album, Magic Fire, to be released by Yep Roc Records in May. Recorded in upstate New York with multi-Grammy winning Producer Larry Campbell, the new record captures the band surrounded by collaborative instrumentation and arrangements, new players, and new authors. </p><p>The band have appeared on World Cafe, Mountain Stage, Daytrotter, Sawyer Sessions, Folk Alley and play about 125 dates a year ranging from busking in Kings Cross Station to the finest venues and festivals in the US and internationally. The band will start a Magic Fire tour on the West Coast in May, US clubs and festivals throughout the Summer, and will return to the UK in October. </p><p>
