Charlotte Cardin, singer-songwriter from Montreal, first charmed the public with her luscious vocal chops when she participated in Quebec’s televised singing competition The Voice. That was around the same time her modeling career took off (that’s right, she’s a model too), leading her to spend some time in Paris to work for the world-renowned Elite Modeling Agency. At only 20 years old, she had risen to become a poster-girl for the Instagram generation in her own right. She returned to Montreal to pursue her music career, determined to succeed on her own terms. Nonetheless, she took her time when it came to choosing her allies and although countless well-established labels came knocking, Charlotte stuck to her gut and paired with Cult Nation, a newly established independent agency that houses emerging indie and electronic acts Dear Frederic, Iris, and Heartfelt. This partnership instantly bloomed and gave Charlotte the ideal entourage to experiment and refine her already very striking aesthetic. This resulted in the release of her first single Big Boy - a minimal electro-jazz ballad over which hovers Cardin’s haunting and expansive voice - that garnered instant online buzz. She then landed a game-changing performance opening up for Mika at Montreal’s Jazz Festival this past summer. The young artist is actively playing many shows with her tight knit band while extensively putting together her eagerly awaited debut LP, to be released in the Fall of 2016.
