Maurice "Verse" Simmonds is an American singer, songwriter, and producer known for hit singles such as “Boo Thang” with Kelly Rowland and 2015’s “Situationships.” The Atlanta-based Simmonds identifies his vocal stylings and production as a mix of R&B, hip-hop, reggae and calypso — or what he calls “Island B.” Raised in the Virgin Islands, he moved to the U.S. after high school, forming the production duo the Jugganauts with Sham “Sak Pase” Joseph. The duo has since co- written and produced tracks such as Rihanna’s “Man Down and “Who Gon Stop Me” by Kanye West and Jay-Z, Chris Brown's New Flame & Ro James Permission
