B-Ham With The Tru & Livin Crew (Houston, TX)

Genre:Hip-Hop / Rap

B-Ham, a.k.a. Righteous Rook, a pure-bred emcee from Beaumont, TX., has been making noise in the Golden Triangle since the late '90's. The early years of his career included performing and recording with Wreckshop Records, DJ DMD, Scarface, Lil' KeKe, South Park Mexican, Cash Money Records, and more. His immediate musical family, "Tru&Livin'/777" have exploits that precede his own. Qb and Grizzileo, two of the founding members of this large collective of musical artists, have made a substantial impact on the Texas undergound hip hop scene since the mid '90's. They have shared stages with Notorious B.I.G., Method Man, Big Pun, The Fugees and more. B-Ham joined the family at the turn of the century, which gave birth to a slew of "Second Generation Tru&Livin' Suns." The Tru&Livin'/777 family has been featured on several Dj DMD albums, and B-Ham is accredited as the first of Wu Tang Clan's Down South Killa Beez. Associated with artists such as the RZA, Solomon Childs, and KILLARMY's Kinetic, a.k.a. Berretta 9. Releasing albums like Grizzileo's, The Supreme vol. I and B-Ham's, Chess with the Devil and Parables, the crew continues to "stimulate the intellect." Now teamed up with producer and fellow Beaumont native, Case Akilleez, a new wave of music is being created and several projects are in the works. The result is gritty, cutting-edge music that serves as backdrop to provocative, vivid lyricism by emcees of astounding skill.
