Highly praised by Brazilian psych rock legends such as Os Mutante's Arnaldo Baptista and Tom Zé (with whom the band has recorded and performed 'Papa Francisco'), O Terno is one of the wildest psychedelic rock band in Brazil today. The band has extensively toured Brazil presenting their fuzzed out rock and roll mixed with bossa nova and afro Brazilian rhythms to large audiences including Lollapalooza BR, where the band featured as Brazilian headliner. Rolling Stone magazine charted their new album 'O Cinza' as the 12th best album of 2014, while in 2015 the presentation with Boogarins won the APCA ( Paulista Arts Critics Association) as the Best Performance of the year. Hailing from São Paulo, Brazil, the band has been performing since 2009, and independently released its first album, '66', in 2012. The album received positive reviews, with the Brazilian newspaper giant O Globo naming it "one of the most impressive debut albums". Rolling Stone Brasil magazine also placed 66 in its top 25 Brazilian albums of 2012, in its annual ranking. In August of 2014, the trio launched its second album with completely original work, O Terno. The band has toured Brazil presenting their second album at large gigs including Lollapalooza BR, where they featured as a headline Brazilian band. The band worked on the album for several months, cultivating a new musicality and the results are clear: the second album displays more maturity, representing the group’s evolution in their career. The Brazilian Rolling Stone magazine placed the album as 12th in their Best Brazilian Album ranking for 2014, and ranked the O Cinza from the same album as 9th in the Best Music of the year. The album also features various collaborating artists – including one of the foremost artists of the famed Tropicalia music scene (Brazil’s iconic music movement from the 70s) - Tom Zé, who showcases his unusual vocals in Medo do Medo, further intensifying the eerie feel of the song. The artist welcomed the band in 2012, in his EP Tribunal do Feicebuqui, where of the five featured songs, two were composed by Tim Bernardes. Eu Vou Ter Saudades presents sounds by Luiz Chagas (Tulipa Ruiz, Itamar Assumpção, Arnaldo Baptista) on the lap steel. The album also introduces Marcelo Jeneci playing the farfisa organ in Quando Estamos Todos Dormindo.
