Ray Benson founded Asleep at the Wheel in Paw Paw, West Virginia 46 years ago. Based in Austin since the early 70's, the band holds Ten Grammy Awards, ACM, Americana and multiple other Industry recognitions. Still The King: Celebrating the Music of Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys, released in 2015, marks the band’s third full-length Bob Wills tribute album featuring guests The Avett Brothers, Willie Nelson, George Strait, Old Crow Medicine Show plus many more. Asleep at the Wheel has always been known as a Touring Act, playing over 150 shows a year, and having a reputation for having some of the best musicians in the Genre.
