Francisca Straube´s voice is beautifully haunting. She also plays the drums like a midnight
beast.
Together with her band mates, Tomás Rivera and Rodrigo de la Rivera, Francisca leads Santiago’s
genre bending electronic post-rock poppy proyect, Miss Garrison. Their sound is a seamless fusion
of crunching electric guitars and pulsing, almost breathe like synthesizers.
The band began back in 2008, and they literally have not stopped moving. After releasing their
first LP, “Tira y Empuje”, on Sello Azul and touring the hell out of Argentina and Chile, they
spent a year playing in Spain. Between rocking venues in Europe, they found time to record a
second album (DeAaB 2012) and then came back to promote it on Chile.
On 2014 the band went on to NY to record their short EP Land of Aloha together with a few shows.
Right now the band is preparing their third studio album and getting ready to tour in Mexico and United
States on March 2016.
