Genre:Rock
Over one year after releasing its debut album, the brazilian band Planar is ready for more. "Invasão" was an independent release that followed two EPs and got them signed to the most important rock label in Brazil, led the band to be featured in some of the country's largest TV channels and took them on a tour to several states. Back in 2014, "Invasão" was voted the second best rock album of the year on UOL, one of the biggest brazilian news portals. It featured songs about love and loss and the fear of taking the next step in life. The relatable lyrics, sung in Portuguese, were accompanied by sometimes heavy and sometimes gentle harmonies and instrumentals. They were influenced by 80s and 90s brazilian music, as well as indie bands from the 00s. Now, Leonardo Braga (vocals/guitar), Leonardo Villela (bass), Ivan Roichman (drums) and Alan Lopez (guitar) are getting ready for their second album. Although playing abroad for the first time, maturity and growth are words that come to mind when Planar are playing live, and the realization that good rock n' roll comes in all, shapes, sizes and most certainly, in all languages.
