The story of Drawing North started from writing simple pop demos in a

garage to selling out their first ever headline show to over 600

people in their hometown of Canberra, Australia. Since then, the 5

friends have constantly been at work, whether it be booking their own

40 date school’s tour of Australia, recording acoustic releases

endorsed by Joel Madden of Good Charlotte or playing festivals such as

Australia Celebrates live, Vans Warped Tour Australia and Groovin The Moo .

The band has also had the opportunity to support international and homegrown

artists such as Paul Kelly, Jessica Mauboy and Sheppard.

Drawing North have played over 200 shows thus far all around the

country and as a result of constant touring and online promotion, the

band has collected an ever-growing online fan base with over 27,000

fans across social media sites Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, over

370,000 views on YouTube, coverage in Blunt Magazine and Channel V.The band recently finished recording their debut album, ‘El

Dorado’ in Florida, USA with producer James Wisner (Paramore). The

first single and video ‘Forevermore’ was released in June 2015 to

various commercial radio success around the country receiving across

the day airplay at Nova Brisbane, Canberra's FM104.7 and Sydney’s KIISFM'

Planet Rock. The second single ‘Only You’ was released in August 2015

to similar commercial radio success across the country. The music video also

garnered over 50k views within 4 days of release on Facebook. Drawing North

are set to release their debut album ‘El Dorado’ through Universal Music.

The band ​is currenty in the US, appearing at​ the​ 2016’s Sundance Film

Festival and SXSW.Singer, Po explains that “’El Dorado’ is an accumulation of

songs written about our experience as a band as well as personal

struggles and triumphs. Through this album we believe it has allowed

us to finally find a vision for our musical style and we hope it can

connect with people in all walks of life as much as it has with us.
