Catch Fever (Houston, Tx)

Genre:Rock

Atmospheric guitars, cutting bass lines, hard-hitting drums and strong melodies come together to form Catch Fever, a 2-piece Electronic/Alternative band out of Houston, TX. Starting with the core goal of spreading a message of hope, the band began writing and recording what would become their 33 minute debut release, "Shiny Eyes”, shortly

after forming in 2013. The record was mixed at Ivory Tower and mastered by Grammy Award winning engineer Emily Lazar (Vampire Weekend/Foo Fighters) at The Lodge in New York.

Early 2014 saw the release of the anticipated "Shiny Eyes" and the quick rise of this young band, earning supporting slots for Mute Math, Bad Suns, Pepper, and more. As 2014 progressed, so did the band as they were invited to play at CMJ Festival in New York, were nominated for "Best New Act" by Houston Press and "Best Alternative Band" by 94.5 The Buzz. The year came to a close with the band receiving the honor of "Local Album of The Year" from Free Press Houston.

2015 began with a bang for Catch Fever as they headlined a sold out show at the 1500 person capacity House of Blues Houston and played alongside Weezer, Tears for Fears, Band of Horses and others at Free Press Summer Fest. The band continues to push forward as they're currently working on their sophomore release due out April 2016
