Monte (San José, COSTA RICA)

Monte started in 2011 as a guitar/drums duo, with Adrián Poveda and Franco Valenciano, the band played a crucial part in the development of the new alternative rock scene in Costa Rica (along with bands like Las Robertas, Niño Koi and Florian Droids)

In the following years they were part of the lineup of several festivals and in 2014 they embarked on their first European tour.

On that same year Pablo Rojas, leader of Hijos and Florian Droids, joins the band as a bass player. Together they've released 5 EPs, several singles, 2 live sessions, almost 10 videos and a split record on a Madrid label. They also founded their own record label, Sonido Nuevo, a DIY collaborative effort with other local bands.

They're most recent album "V" was released on July 2019
